What is an undercoating?
Undercoatings are an important part to any stainless steel sink. This latex or rubber coating helps absorb and deaden sounds, which can occur when water is run into the sink, or when heavy objects are placed in it. Undercoats are sprayed onto the bottom of the sink, eliminating condensation, retaining water temperature and providing maximum sound absorption.
